Mountainview Grace Church is a part of the Mennnoite Brethren (MB) denomination and we proudly follow the beliefs outlined in the MB Confession of Faith.
We believe in God as eternal Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God created and sustains the universe. The eternal purpose of God the Father is to create a people who will bring glory to God forever. God alone is worthy of worship.
We believe that God became human in Jesus Christ. Jesus came to restore the world because humans have rejected God in disobedience. Jesus taught and modeled the way of God’s kingdom. He died on the cross, making it possible for us to accept a renewed relationship with God. He rose from the dead, broke the power of sin and death, and frees us to live in obedience to God’s will.
We believe that God the Holy Spirit invites all people to be reconciled with God and to join the global family of faith. Believers confess their faith, are baptized, and join in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and guided by the Bible, members of the church seek to live as followers of Christ and invite others to experience this new life.
As Christians, we are called to turn:
As Christians, we look forward to the day when God will once again send Jesus to bring all things under God’s eternal rule.

To fulfill our mission and achieve our vision, we strive to uphold our values:
Our church is committed to carrying out the Great Commission recorded in Matthew 28:18-20, while living out the Great Commandment in Matthew 22:34-40.
Matthew 28:18-20 New International Version (NIV)
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”Matthew 22:34-40
Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Therefore, in our love for God and others, we shall be primarily concerned with making disciples of Jesus Christ. This goes beyond reaching people for Christ and includes teaching, equipping and developing them in their relationship with God and his mission of redemption. Reaching people for Christ means calling them to repentance and baptizing them on their confession of faith. Reaching people isn’t just being kind and doing deeds of love and compassion although our kindness and care will demonstrate our authenticity.
We are a growing, relational community of passionate, biblically faithful, Christ followers who are deepening in our love for God and leading our friends, neighbours and world to Him.
We are primarily English speaking Chinese. Although all generations are present, the majority are second generation young families and leaders.
